Permits

Services
Garbage Service
Provided through our contracted service with LRS (formerly Prairieland). Contact LRS directly to set up service or request additional pickups. Service is delayed by one day following a holiday.
To contact LRS, visit www.lrsrecycles.com/contact-us/. LRS also provides Leaf Pickup and E-Recycling at specific times of year, posted a month or so in advance. Yard-waste stickers are available at the Village Hall — call 815-923-4153 or email for details.
Street Lights
If you notice a street light is out in Union, email clerk@unionillinois.org to report the outage.
Veterans Park Pavilion
Located on the north side of Union, off Park St. Available for use for events — contact the Village Clerk at clerk@unionillinois.org.
Water
Union provides water service for all residents within Village limits. Water bills are sent quarterly and can be paid at Prairie Community Bank in Union, or via your bank’s online payment portal. The Village is looking into an online payment option in the future — give us time, we just got a website!

Parks and Recreation
Union is surrounded by parks and the McHenry County Conservation District’s biking and running trails. More information will be posted about this in time.
Siems Park
A Lion’s Club provided park, off Highbridge Road, outside Union’s city limits. For use of the park, email info@ufpd.org.
